Alan Wake over z'n nieuwe boek
Een community manager van Remedy heeft op het officiële AlanWake.com forum enkele stukjes tekst gepost welke zogenaamd geschreven zouden zijn door Alan Wake himself. In de korte stukjes beschrijft Alan de ervaringen die hij heeft tijdens het schrijven van zijn nieuwe boek. Het boek, en het schrijven daarvan, zijn namelijk belangrijke onderdelen in het plot van deze game. Nou onthullen de stukjes geen directe nieuwe details, en zijn over het algemeen sowieso vrij vaag, maar ze geven wel weer hoe zwaar Alan het er blijkbaar mee heeft, of 'gaat krijgen', als deze game ooit nog eens uit gaat komen. The amount of pages keeps growing each night. There are also new edits on the old pages. They keep getting more aggressive. The story is rewriting itself. The protagonist is now my namesake, and his wife is called Alice. The most worrying aspect: the genre seems to be shifting. It's turning into a horror story. I can no longer be certain whether the hero can succeed or even survive. Apart for jumbled fragments of bad dreams and an oppressive feeling, I can remember nothing of the process when I wake up. I keep wondering when my game will be released. My makers have been teasing with screenshots and videos for such a long time, I can't stay awake. Please release me, and hopefully I won't be a shit game.

Wanneer komt ie nou? Dit is echt zo'n game waar ik vanaf de eerste teaser (ergens in 2005) al naar uit kijk, het wachten duurt nu wel erg lang.
